We’ve recently made some changes to our Oyster Capsules formula and we’d like to explain why!
Why Did We Change the Formula?
There are a few reasons behind our decision to update the formula:
First and foremost, we continuously strive to create top-tier products. The changes made to the original Oyster Capsules formula are simply an improvement to an already incredible product. There was nothing wrong with our original formula; we had thousands of happy customers that used and swore by it, but this is an ever changing and ever evolving industry with new research and new ingredients. Here at Bowmar Nutrition, we pride ourselves on having quality products with formulas next to no other; therefore, our products and formulas must improve when and where they can. We saw an opportunity to make our Oyster Capsules even better, so we did just that; hence, the new Oyster Capsules Enhanced Formula!
Secondly, as our company has grown, so too have our needs. With growth, comes outgrowth. We found ourselves outgrowing our existing manufacturer. They weren’t able to keep up with the demand for the product, which was causing a disruption to our inventory and customer satisfaction. We made the decision to partner with a new manufacturer that could meet the demand and still provide y'all with the amazing, high quality products you know and love! While the formula isn’t the exact same, the quality and efficacy of the ingredients is even higher than it was before, which we didn’t think was possible.
What Changed?
We removed a few of the ingredients – mustard seeds and celery seed – from the original formula and added a handful of more powderful ingredients in the new one. Below we’ve provided a breakdown on the ingredients you’ll find in the new formula:
- Oyster Meat Powder (OystaZIN): is rich in nutrients essential for libido and sexual health. Oysters are known for their high zinc content, a mineral crucial for testosterone production, which in turn influences sexual desire and performance. Oysters contain other nutrients like amino acids, vitamins, and minerals that support overall sexual health and vitality. Such as taurine, which may improve blood flow and enhance arousal, and omega-3 fatty acids, which promote cardiovascular health, crucial for sexual function.
- Maca Root Extract: derived from the Peruvian maca plant, it’s packed with vitamins, minerals, and unique compounds to help regulate hormone levels (particularly estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone), which play crucial roles in sexual desire and arousal. Additionally, its adaptogenic properties can help reduce stress and fatigue, common inhibitors of sexual desire.
- Panax Ginseng Extract: known for its adaptogenic properties, this herb has been shown to enhance sexual function by increasing nitric oxide levels, which relax blood vessels and improve blood flow to the genital area, crucial for arousal and erectile function. It also exhibits stress-reducing effects, which can promote overall sexual satisfaction.
- Horny Goat Weed: a traditional Chinese herb rich in icariin, a flavonoid, that can improve blood flow to the genital area. This enhanced blood flow may contribute to improved erectile function and arousal. Additionally, it can increase levels of neurotransmitters such as dopamine and serotonin, which can positively influence sexual desire and mood.
- L-Arginine HCI: an amino acid that synthesizes nitric oxide (crucial for dilating blood vessels and improving blood flow). By enhancing circulation, L-Arginine HCl may promote increased blood flow to the genital area, aiding in achieving and sustaining erections in men and enhancing arousal and sensitivity in women. Moreover, it is involved in the production of sperm and may contribute to overall reproductive health.
- Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract: derived from ginkgo trees and rich in antioxidants and flavonoids, it has been shown to enhance blood circulation, including to the genital area, which is crucial for sexual arousal and performance. This increased blood flow may also support erectile function in men and enhance sensitivity in women, contributing to a more satisfying sexual experience.
- Theacrine (SoWell™): is a stimulant that can provide an energy boost and enhance mental alertness, which may indirectly support sexual desire and performance by reducing fatigue and improving mood. Its adaptogenic properties also help the body adapt to stress and promote overall well-being, including sexual health.
- Zinc: an essential mineral that plays an important role in various aspects of sexual health and libido. It’s involved in the production of testosterone, the primary hormone responsible for sexual desire and function in both men and women. Zinc is also vital for sperm production and motility, making it crucial for male fertility. Deficiencies in zinc have been associated with decreased libido, erectile dysfunction, and other sexual health issues.
Do the Old and New Formulas Have the Same Benefits?
Yes! As we explained previously, this is simply an improvement to an already incredible formula. Rest assured, you will still receive the same amazing benefits you experienced with our previous formula AND MORE. The new ingredients provide additional benefits the previous formula did not. This means we’re confident you’ll be overly satisfied with the Oyster Capsules Enhanced Formula.

No, they do NOT replace fish oils! Both should hold a spot in your supplement routine.

In our opinion, they do not have a weird taste or smell, but if you are sensitive to fishy taste or smell, take them with food.

These should NOT be consumed if you have a shellfish allergy.

They are safe for pregnant and breastfeeding women; however, we always suggest consulting your doctor before taking any supplements when pregnant/breastfeeding.
